J C Grimshaw is a well-known and popular musician living on the Isle of Wight. He plays a wide range of instruments ranging from ukulele to Hawaiian acoustic steel guitar in numerous bands. JC has been running ukulele group workshops from beginners to advanced, for the last eight years. Although based on the Isle of Wight, he has given workshops at several national festivals, and various art centers, often combining his teaching with live concerts. JC’s ukulele style is grounded in the vintage jazz era, but he has a passion for all styles of music. Whether playing ukulele, banjo-uke, or tiple, JC never fails in putting on a performance which is full of fun, zest, variety and dexterity.
